Listening with Humility and Empathy creates a safe environment for every client. I am able to communicate effectively with a diverse population of clients. I am able to build trusting relationships with the clients, with ease. Over the past 19 years, I have worked with Children and Families to improve their lives, ensure a safe living environment, address their mental health needs, secure permanent housing, reunify families and initiate Re-Entry services for Criminal Justice Involved Youth. As a Helping Professional with a Child Welfare background, my clients have included Children/Families foster care, adolescent girls in a group home setting, Sexually exploited girls, Runaway Teenagers, Voluntary wrap around services, Homeless families, Juvenile Justice and Outpatient Children/Families Mental Health services.
I am enthusiastic about helping those in need. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from different therapeutic approaches to best meet the needs of the client and their mental health condition/situation. It is my mission to live a life of integrity, honesty, humility, remain open to people and opportunities, follow my passion and apply ethical principles to make a significant difference.
My educational background includes a MS in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY. I also hold a MA in Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York, New York, NY and a BS in Sociology from Mercy College, Bronx, NY.
