OFFICE LOCATION : NEW YORK
“Akwaaba” (Welcome)! You’ve taken an important step towards prioritizing your mental health, and I’m here to support you in this journey within a safe, non-judgmental space where you can truly be yourself.
My name is Juliet Adom, a dedicated Mental Health Counselor committed to guiding you on a path to greater well-being. Together, we’ll focus on growth through education, empowerment, and encouragement, helping you reach your personal and life goals.
Originally from Ghana and raised in New York City for over 25 years, I bring a culturally sensitive, empathetic approach to my work. Fluent in English and Twi, and conversational in Ga, I embrace diverse backgrounds and aim to make everyone feel heard and respected.
With over a decade of experience in social services, I’ve supported children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, anger management, homelessness, grief, trauma, family conflicts, and more. I also specialize in helping families in foster care systems and individuals navigating the complexities of immigration.
My therapeutic approach blends strength-based and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with elements of Person-Centered Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, offering empathy, support, and actionable guidance.
I hold a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) with a focus in School Counseling from Long Island University, along with advanced certification in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Buffalo. I’m eager to support you on your mental health journey—because your well-being truly matters.
