My name is Sharmishtha, and I am deeply passionate about helping individuals from all walks of life navigate their unique journeys with empathy, understanding, and a genuine commitment to their well-being. My professional goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others by creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel seen, heard, and understood. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who face a wide range of mental health challenges. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and strengths-based strategies. With CBT, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, explore how they impact emotions and behaviors, and work toward developing healthier patterns of thinking and coping. This collaborative, goal-oriented approach empowers you to make meaningful shifts and develop practical skills for managing life's challenges.

I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor's in Psychology from India, and I'm currently working on a second Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Pace University. I am committed to helping clients from diverse backgrounds and I regularly incorporate new ideas and therapy methods to improve healing.
